He's trouble she doesn't need . . .

Thanks to a cheating fiancĂ©, Josephina Harrington's perfect life just crashed and burned. Moving in with her overbearing parents is definitelynot an option. No, she needs to prove she can make it on her own. And she will-by turning her great-aunt's old plantation house into a destination getaway. She's just not expecting her contractor to be so hands-on-and so totally irresistible.

. . . but everything she wants

Bad-boy golf champion Brett McGraw figured his hometown of Sugar, Georgia was the perfect place to lay low and get his life back up to par. The leggy blonde with a pint-sized pup is the kind of sweet 'n sassy trouble he never saw coming. She doesn't know a nut from a bolt and before long, he's renovating her house . . . as she steals his heart. Can he convince Josephina that his womanizing ways are in the past and he's ready for forever?

Plenty of southern charm!

One of my favorite things about reading anything from Marina Adair is that she does small-town stories really well. I’m a huge fan of her St. Helena Vineyard series, and I couldn’t wait to hop small towns over to Sugar, Georgia!

First of all, how cute is that cover! I think it’s just perfect for the book! Josephina “Joie” Harrington is somewhat of a New York socialite whose Southern roots run deep. She’s back in Sugar nursing a heartbreak, swearing off ever getting involved with another man, and ready to take her life in a whole new direction. Joie wants to go knee-deep into renovating her late Aunt Letty’s plantation house, but she quickly runs into so many obstacles. Brett McGraw is a golf champion caught in a compromising situation *snickers*.  He gets quite smitten with Joie, but she’s definitely one he shouldn’t even be thinking about.

Ms. Adair pulled all the stops for southern charm in this story! I loved getting to know all the people in Sugar. Some of the characters are quirky and take a while to warm up to, but they will eventually win your heart. All the fast-moving gossip and drama make this story a lot of fun! The tension between Joie and Brett gets really stretched. I completely adored them, and the build up of their romance seems so perfect for them! Thank you, Ms. Adair, for introducing me to these characters. I can’t wait to visit Sugar, Georgia again!
